A lot going on…but mostly good stress

I’m looking forward to this summer.  Our Wii bowling league (it looks like we’ll have 9 teams) looks like it’s goign to work out, my wife has a lot of things going on with the youth group, my son is letting me take his training wheels off a bit so we can practice riding, I’m riding a lot around town with my daughter, and we’re looking forward to heading down to the beach the first week in August.  We’re full of things going on and yet we’re not busy. I don’t feel rushed and yet I’m getting plenty done, my wife is encouraged by the work she’s doing with our youth group kids, and our kids are getting out a lot to ride their bikes.

We do a lot with our neighbors, and that’s a nice break from being “the pastor,” but we’ve also got quite a few connections with people at Central.  Like I said before, it finally feels like we’ve got a real web of relationships around here now – and that’s nice.  There’s still a lot more to do, mind you, but things are going well for us as a family at the moment.  I could probably find something to rant about, but why bother?

I am teaching a lesson from Biblical Evangelism to one of our “established” Sunday School classes on Sunday – so maybe thie moments of bliss I’ve been experiencing this week have just been the calm before the storm!
