Just a smidge

The other night we had a sun shower hit just about the time of sunset. The light turned golden and I rushed down to the river hoping to be greeted with a rainbow.

It was just a tad too late for a rainbow to appear when I got down to the riverbank. I was instead greeted with the last vestiges of the Sun as it dipped below the horizon, leaving a crack of pink light traveling across the horizon. It was quite stunning.
