Sweet Sunset

Two nights ago I took a stroll with Bump down by the river. The Sun was still rather high on the horizon, and was hidden behind a cloud bank. While this is often a recipe for a dull sunset, that evening it ended up creating something lovely. The way the waning sunlight peaked through the caused it to appear thick, giving it an almost syrup-like texture as it fell to the Earth.
