Pastoring can be sedimentary. We study, visit, and eat what’s put in front of us. Our bodies need work too, particularly in times of stress. If you’re exhausted and moody, try exercising a bit – even during “Church time.”

Paying Attention
Disagreeing with someone is perfectly fine. Disagreeing with someone because you’ve inserted your own thoughts into someone’s argument, when you should have been listening, is unacceptable. I’ve done this. Let’s be honest, we all have.
Alternatives
The early Church treated worship as essential for living faithfully. So why do so many contemporary Christians treat it like it’s optional? What are we pastors doing that reinforces this mentality?
