OK, let’s all watch this video and remind ourselves that this is what Churches look like to folks when we start gunning for each other. It’s a classic example that when we’re “right” the “other” is “inadequate” and “wrong” and therefor doesn’t have to be treated with dignity and respect. Watch, and learn how not to act.

Oh please…the church and the political arena are SOOOOOO different. This hardly compares to anything that ever happens in the church.
I don’t know if scarcasm has a specific colour, but if I could…I’d write the above statement in it.
Wow…can we say sore loser? The sad thing is, this is a completely acceptable response in the political world. The church also should have people just as passionate, even when they don’t get their way, but they also are called to repent for their hostility towards others.
Oh…and Go Obama!
OH man Matt, you’re lucky I read the sarcasm line, for a minute I thought you were serious!
Yes, passion is wonderful. Passion without grace looks like this rant. It’s ugly, VERY ugly.
As for the “Go Obama!” line. I know you’re not clergy yet, but I know the ethical statements of my denomination don’t allow me to publicly endorse a candidate. As I’m publicly the pastor of Central Baptist, a statement like that would literally be violation. You might want to check the ethical policies of your tradition, I’d hate to see you get into hot water for something like that.
I think I went to church with that woman… Oh wait! She would have never claimed to be a Democrat…
Jim, ROFL
Sigh…..this happens way to much! And not even just in a formal church. The christian fellowship I was apparent of never got that uggly but at times it got close.
Otherwise I’d like to know who that woman’s mother/ grandmother is/was. I suspect neither would approve.
