Today was “Palmyra Day,” a day-long festival down broad-street. It’s a lot of fun. There’s various rock bands, lots of climbers for the kids, a dunk-tank, and all sorts of civic organizations are out to represent their aspect of the town. I typically don’t stay long. First, I’d spend too much money and over-eat. Second, it’s a large crowd filled with people I either know or “sort of know” – this means I’m required to have significant numbers of “small-talk” conversations for as long as I’m at the party. I don’t mind these, please understand, but they are draining. So I blitz in and blitz out before I hit social over-load. Still, it is fun, and it is great to see the town come out and celebrate being a community.

That day must have been lots of fun and lots and lots of people. I love it.
