Christian worship is about honoring the Triune God and celebrating the work of Jesus. When we replace that with ANYTHING we do it to our peril.
Disagreeing with someone is perfectly fine. Disagreeing with someone because you’ve inserted your own thoughts into someone’s argument, when you should have been listening, is unacceptable. I’ve done this. Let’s be honest, we all have.
Sometimes the best choice in a debate about which side of the political spectrum should wield power isn’t one that’s offered by this world.

I’ve been worried about this for years, ever since I met a fellow believer who was more concerned about my thoughts on the age of the universe than my thoughts about the Lord of the universe. This is more than a “those silly fundamentalists” strip, though, just look at the colors.
The early Church treated worship as essential for living faithfully. So why do so many contemporary Christians treat it like it’s optional? What are we pastors doing that reinforces this mentality?
