This image was created as a poster image for ABCNJ’s “Sacred Safe Spaces.” People suffer from the scourge of neglect and abuse far too much in this world. Equally tragic is how often we remain silent.

We must remember that those who are neglected, those who suffer abuse, and even those who cause abuse are created in God’s image. And, therefor, they are beloved. In a climate where xenophobia and paranoia are being used as a winning political strategy, it’s best we remember a great truth. The people our manipulators want us to hate, are loved by God.
