Float of floats

Note: Seeing as yesterday we hosted a July 4th celebration, Fiction Tuesday will be delayed again this week. If I wake up enough I’ll have a new scene with Jeremy and company tomorrow.

The Fourth of July parade in Riverton, New Jersey is a local Summer highlight. Many towns come from all over to join the parade, and the streets become lined with a sizable crowd. The body of the parade consists mostly of local civic group and social groups, fire departments, and classic cars. Several bands also join the fun, including at least two string bands from Philadelphia’s famous Mummers. Most people wave as they go by, and occasionally toss candy, but there’s very little float building going on.

And then someone rolls down the parade route with model bi-plane. I have to say, this was one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen in Riverton’s parade.
