In the water

on

I managed to sneak in a photowalk during the one nice day during my week off. As I had project going on at home I opted to stay local and headed to Willingboro Lakes Park. Accompanying me was my friend, the Trolling Lutheran 1.

I framed a number of decent photos as we circumnavigated the main lake, but none more than the one shown below. This swan was attacked several years ago, and it’s right wing remains shredded and useless 2, but it remains a staple of the park. What I love about this photo is the way this majestic animal displaces the water as it moves. It is powerful.

  1. He’s still working out his new Sony A6500. I was trying out my two camera setup, my D7000 had my longer telephoto on it.
  2. And it’s mate was killed, rumor has it someone unleashed their dog on the birds. Swans are not nice animals, but this deliberate attack leaves me fuming.

A wonderful picture. A source of encouragement though a person may be. Handicapped or to be correct physically challenged is beautiful and can make waves for good or bad.
