Morning Walk

At last, it feels like Spring! This morning dawned warm and bright, so I decided Bump and I would go for a nice walk. There were a couple of moments when people weren’t thinking about social distancing 1, but for the most part folks were pleasant and respectful. Walking by the river brings a sense of peace to me, and Bump was in such a patient and relaxed mood I was able to stop and take a number of photos.

I don’t believe I’ve ever captured the tree depicted in this photograph, but today I had to. It’s not yet grown it’s new leaves, and yet looks like a guardian of the riverbank. And the Sun was creating some magnificent shadows. I need to go back and capture this with my 7.5mm lens.

The rest of my favorites from this stroll can be found on my SmugMug page.

  1. Pro tip: When you turn the corner on your jog, and see a person with pushing a stroller twenty yards in front of you, don’t make the parent and child go out into the street
