Thanks to a thoughtful neighbor and my amazing wife, I was able to be in the stands for game 1 of the NLCS. It was my first playoff experience ever, and I have to say that the night was amazing. While I was there, however, I did have the sad realization that there’s a reason why people prefer to go to sporting events over worship. At the sporting event there’s 50+ Thousand people going nuts with expectation and hope. In worship you get around 100 people who seem to be embarrassed to be there and are hoping it’ll be over soon.
I honestly don’t want worship to turn into a pep-rally – but as you watch the video do you think we can bring just a little of this expectant hope with us Sunday Mornings?
