Practice

Most of the skills which I practice are on my computer, and pictures of me sitting at my computer don’t seem that interesting to me. So today I partially share the result from my hours of practice with Apple’s Motion. This is a still from a title sequence I created as part of Central’s 30 Hour Famine. I am by no means an expert, but I am certainly enjoying the newfound toys and the results they are able to produce!

"Do You Know?" - Question overlayed on a world-map.

Being the “go to geek” for so many people is sometimes a frustrating prospect. People tend not to understand the hours of struggle one has to put in to become proficient with a tool-set – especially for someone who is self-taught. They see the final results, and know nothing of the frustration experienced on the journey.

I suppose this is true for any skill.
