Chattering Tree-Dweller

It’s been a rather odd weekend in the Philly area. The sky was shouting “Fall,” but the temperature and humidity were uttering a defiant “Summer.” Even with the grey clouds, however, I needed to get out and stretch my legs some this afternoon, so my friend and I headed out for a late afternoon photowalk down to the river. As soon as we started out, I encountered the squirrel chattering away in a nearby key. I looked up and it was sitting there in plain view, gazing down as if I was invading it’s front yard 1. I captured a couple of photos, knowing I’d have to do some serious recovery work in Lightroom to get anything other than a silhouette. I have to say, I am very pleased with the combination of Lightroom Mobile and the Apple Pencil!

  1. Ugh, our beautiful colors of fall just aren’t going to come this year thanks to the wonky summer heatwave we had in September. Glad the little critters by you are making the best of it!
