On my stroll in Palmyra Nature Cove last Saturday. I found myself looking up at a tall strand of grass, blowing in the January breeze. I’ve photographed these plants before, but any time I encounter a new angle I’m drawn to capture their image once again. There’s something about the fragile strength of these strands which fascinates me. I could pinch on of these stalks and it would crumble fall, but they are able to stand in strong winds and sway back and forth without snapping. I suppose it’s a metaphor for how I’d like to live my life — fragile, and yet strong enough to give and sway while remaining rooted.
The blue January sky also made the perfect backdrop for Winter’s muted colors.

You wouldn’t get that beautiful picture in the summer.

Such an impressive contrast of color and layers in depth. Perfect, Sir!
