Sailing Sunset

on

In Wednesday evenings during the summer months 1 Riverton Yacht Club 2 holds sailboat races. I arrived at the river with the Sun at a splendid angle, as it cast a magnificent glow over the Delaware’s surface. I kept my camera on spot metering and captured some shots as the sailboats crossed over the Sun’s reflection, creating some lovely silhouettes. The colors in this shot do not match what I saw with my eye, but I adore the effect of metering on bright spot and letting the rest of the field go dark. The colors this brought out in the sky were worth the loss of reality.

  1. Yes,it is Spring. But in common understanding warm weather equals “summer.”
  2. It sounds more pretentious than it is.
