With rain forecasted for this weekend we took the opportunity of above average temperatures to take an afternoon walk. It was good to get some fresh air, and as we strolled along the river we saw that some other folks had a similar idea. Instead of walking, however, these folks decided to venture out on to the Delaware for some kayaking. I can’t say I blame them, the river was as smooth as I’ve ever seen it and when January hits ice will probably make kayaking impossible.
I got several photos of the group as they launched into the river, but my favorite shot was of them paddling down toward the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. It’s pretty cool.

There go some brave folks! Our river’s almost frozen over…almost.
It was a very mild day.
