Random Thoughts #43

Wednesday is for random thoughts.

  1. Kids are going back into our townโ€™s schools this week and next, right when the spike is hitting the Delaware Valley and surrounding districts are shutting down. To say I am concerned is an understatment.
  2. We knew that Trump wouldnโ€™t exit gracefully, but I dared to hope he wouldnโ€™t try to burn the place down 1 on his way out. From the way things look at present it appears this hope was in vain.
  3. Grand Admiral Thrawn is a very interesting character.
  4. One of the cool things about having my wife teaching from home on Wednesdays is I get to experience a bit of her teaching the class.
  5. I could have ridden a bike to the episode of Veep that was filmed at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping parking lot.
  6. I love my 2020 MacBook Pro. But oh boy would I love one of the new Apple Silicone Macs. Twenty hours of video playback!
  7. Iโ€™m not doing NaNoWriMo this year 2, but last week I got to write a good chunk of The Darned Conspiracy. It felt good.
  8. Iโ€™m burning DVDโ€™s for the few folks who canโ€™t stream worship. Iโ€™m not sure folks will be able to play them 3, but itโ€™s something I need to do. I feel so 2004, and I can finally use all those blank DVDโ€™s I have.
  9. The desk chair in our bedroom squeaks a lot. This gets me many stares of doom because Iโ€™m more fidgety than a toddler and the squeaking can be endless.
  10. I took last week off, and was grateful for the time because I needed a breather. But in a lot of ways being โ€œoffโ€ right now is more stressful than being โ€œon.โ€
  11. I long to stroll Duke of Gloucester street with my camera. Maybe in 2021.

  1. Metaphorically.
  2. National Novel Writing Month.
  3. When I asked one person if they had a DVD playing the response was, โ€œMy daughter says I do.โ€ We laughed together at that.
