It’s Wednesday, time for random thoughts.
- Central Baptist has more musical and creative talent than a church our size should expect to have. I’m proud of these folks.
- My wife and I might do a month subscription to the Hallmark Channel, because 2020 needs more sappy cheese.
- I don’t understand the draw of the Evangelical Trump cult. Maybe that’s not entirely true. I mean, I’m a Philadelphia sports fan and our entire ethos is centered on being chippy and disrespected. But that’s for sports. The Trump Cult finds this appealing for their entire way of life.
- Vaccines are on the way. I hope waiting for them doesn’t feel the same way the month of December feels to kids who are waiting for Christmas to arrive.
- I have begun world building for a D&D campaign. I’m even going to attempt to make it an exploration of Christian Spirituality. The main quest has a great hook.
- Bump will be staying home all week, which is the right thing to do, but it makes my “productivity” scale slide way down.
- We set up a bunch of Homekit plugs in our house for our Christmas lights. Now I don’t have to walk around turning them off one by one by one. Though I need a couple more for the trees.
- One of our church musicians picked up a Zoom Camera to do some recordings for worship. I’m kinda jealous, but it’s been really cool seeing him explore the device, even if it’s frustrating that I can’t be hands on.
- CoVid-19 sucks.
- We had our first streaming-only worship this past Sunday. I hate having to do this, but we have a good list of folks who are willing to participate which is nice.
