Elfreth’s Alley is billed as the oldest residential street in America. The image below leaves no doubt in my mind this is true. Looking at the Alley is like looking back into Philadelphia’s history. A part which, if not for the residents of this unique locale, would have been lost forever.

My wife and I ventured into Philadelphia and walked Elfreth’s Alley. This lovely setting is billed as the oldest residential street in America, and has an origin between the years 1703 and 1736.
