Continuing with my, “Are people trying to tell me something?” theme from yesterday, I present the greatest mug ever made.
If you happen to be a geeky pastor, that is.
It’s jet black in a matte finish, large enough to handle a proper caffeine infusion, and emblazoned with one of the best Star Wars Quotes of all time, “I find your lack of faith disturbing.” This is the mug I want to drink from when I’m sitting down with couples to go over how pre-marital counseling works 1.
Perhaps the next time I’m speaking at a semi-large gathering I’ll bring this mug along to use during my presentation. I want to see the looks on people’s faces when they figure it out 2.
I don’t want to force choke people or anything, but a violent spit-take would be rather amusing.

- Really, it’s a tribal thing. I’m looking for other geek/nerds. Anyone who smiles or nods in appreciation gets the joke, and I know I can depend on them to help communicate my strange perception of reality to those who aren’t as versed in classic geek pop-culture. It’s the type of thing I do by instinct all the time. At Central, for example, any time I mention “the meaning of life” I always show the number 42 on the screen. If you’re going to be a nerd, you might as well do it right. ↩

It was a gift, so I can’t be sure, but the bottom says “Hallmark.” I guess you could get it at a Hallmark store (or Disney?).
