Warning! Spider Photo!

I know people can be creeped out by spiders, but I find the creatures fascinating 1. They catch things like mosquitoes for food, so they’re OK in my book 2. And pictures of spider webs are amazing. I love that nature has these things, and even more that I’m able to photograph them 3.

In the image below I was able to capture both the web and the spider. It was woven across the chain link fence which makes up our gate, and I was able to get rather close even with a non-macro lens.

  1. I find walking into their webs disturbing, but that’s another post. ↩
  2. As long as I find them outside. Though I don’t mind them living in my house as long as they have the sense not to be seen. ↩
  3. Again, I wish the spiders would figure out making a web across a sidewalk was a bad idea. ↩
