Hanging On

I went for a short walk on Saturday and came across this lone holdout from summer. It’s not looking good and what little life it may have left in it isn’t long for this world. But there it was, a defiant splash of green in world of increasing gray.

I appreciate it’s tenacity, doomed though it might be. I suppose the same could be said for much of the way I live my life.

One last flower.
