Weather Vane at Golden Hour

on

I’ve shown images of this weather vane, which is perched on top of the house across from ours, before. It’s a neat subject for photography, though my view of it is beginning to be blocked by the young shade tree that was planted in our yard 1. This was my first opportunity to capture it with my adapted Minolta lens, and I was able to capture a few images right as “golden hour” was hitting. These would have been a bit nicer without the tree in the way, and if the weather vane was angled just a bit differently, but I was still happy with the reflections off of this weathered 2 subject.

  1. It’s worth the lost view, but still a bit of a bummer.
  2. See what I did there? Yay me for bad puns!
