Seasonal Transition

Aside from allergies 1, spring is one of my favorite times of year. I love transitions, and the transition from winter to spring is beautiful. As spring dawns the vestiges of the waning season begin to dim, but they are still visible against the backdrop of new growth. This leads to some great photo opportunities, such as the one depicted below. A few brown leaves, which have managed to hold on to their branch all through the winter, face the dawning of spring in the distance.

  1. Our little maple in the backyard kept nearly ALL its leaves. I’m wondering how it will bud this year…
