A Random Adventure

on

Sunday after church I facetimed my wife, who was visiting her parents over the long weekend. She mentioned that they were taking the dining car on the Strasburg Railroad monday for Lunch before coming home and I was a bit bummed to be missing out. My wife’s mother was nearby and blurted out, “Well just throw some things in a bag and get on a train, I’ll pick you up.”

So, after making sure there was a convenient train to take, I said, “Why not?” I packed up some things, got a ride from a neighbor, and was sitting on a train less then an hour later. Sudden fits of travel are not my norm, so this was a fun little adventure. I’d not been on the Strasburg Railroad since elementary school, so it was an extra cool adventure for me.

The pictures weren’t bad either. Though there’s a bit of distortion because of the train window. I’ll have to do the open air car at some point.
