It’s Wednesday, and that means random thoughts with no explanation!
In general, I have a difficult time trusting people. Folks may say this is an odd character trait for a pastor, but I’d contend that, on the whole, this has been a boon for me.
Earlier this week I attended a clergy retreat in Harvey Cedars, NJ. It was a blessed time, filled with time for contemplation instead of programming. I spent a good portion of our time in silence walking the wintering streets of the Summer resort with my camera. Few cars were out, fewer houses were occupied. My only earthly companions were the wind and the sky above me.
I think I will setting on Wednesday’s being “random thoughts” days for a bit. These are (mostly) unconnected thoughts, offered with no explanation. It is much more difficult to do than you might think!
