Filling Up

Saturday was one of those perfect late-Summer days which calls me to head out and explore the world. Given all that’s going on down in Florida and the Caribbean with Irma it felt strange to enjoy a day of perfect weather, but whenever I’m focused on something which causes me great sorrow and concern I tend to head out looking for beautiful things. Given the title of the site, I suppose this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Near the tale end of my Saturday walk I came across a bed of flowers swarmed with honeybees gathering pollen. It was one of those sights which makes me long for 1:1 macro lens. Until then, I’m quite pleased with how the bees cooperated during their photo shoot. My favorite is below.
