On Wednesdays I like to use what’s left of my Covid-land mental capacity to unleash the full force of my jittery brain on to an unsuspecting world. These are random thoughts.
- I feel like Billy Joel needs to release an updated version of “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”
- I don’t understand the whole “if we know who to blame, it’ll all go away” conservative reaction to the pandemic 1.
- Joel Embid is the only light in a dismal Philly sports scene. And I’m not even a basketball fan.
- Does anyone even care that the Winter Olympics are happening next month?
- Members of the Monday Murder Hobos are considering tying up the Paladin and leaving him behind. He’s a tad unhinged.
- Current stress level, on a scale of 1 to 10, is 4357.
- Dear “church institutes,” denominational entities, and “celebrity pastors.” I don’t want your books, webinars, and “quick tip” lists. If you want to actually help, figure out a way to fund sabbaticals for all the pastors who have wrestled with ministry through this nightmare. Barring that, please just stop talking. You aren’t helping 2.
- The middle school drama never ends, does it?
- The sound of my hand grinder crushing coffee beans is the sound of my morning.
- I’ve wanted to write the past couple of weeks. That’s felt nice.
- I just picked up Hero Kids RPG to try playing with Bump. We’ll see how that works out.
